Retrieving cosmological information from small-scale CMB foregrounds

چکیده
Recent results of ground-based telescopes, giving high-quality measurements the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature power spectrum on small scales (below 1 deg) motivate need for an accurate model foregrounds, which dominate primary signal at these multipoles. In a previous work, we have shown that cosmological information could be retrieved from thermal Sunyaev Zel’dovich (SZ) effect. this introduce physically motivated Epoch Reionisation in analysis CMB data, is coherent all scales. particular, high multipoles, kinetic SZ (kSZ) effect inferred set and reionisation parameters by machine-learning algorithm. Cosmological Information from Lensed CMB Power Spectra
Gravitational lensing distorts the cosmic microwave background (CMB) temperature and polarization fields and encodes valuable information on distances and growth rates at intermediate redshifts into the lensed power spectra. The non-Gaussian bandpower covariance induced by the lenses is negligible to l = 2000 for all but the B polarization field where it increases the net variance by up to a fa...
متن کاملRemoving Real-world Foregrounds from Cmb Maps
Most work on foreground removal has treated the case where the frequency dependence of all components is perfectly known and independent of position. In contrast, real-world foregrounds are generally not perfectly correlated between frequencies, with the spectral index varying slightly with position and (in the case of some radio sources) with time. A method incorporating this complication in p...
متن کاملArcheops: CMB Anisotropies Measurement from Large to Small Angular Scale
Archeops, a balloon-borne experiment, will provide a measurement of CMB anistropies from large to small angular scale thanks to its large sky coverage (30%), its high angular resolution (10 arcminutes), and its high signal-to-noise ratio due to high sensitivity 100 mK cooled bolometers. We will therefore be able to put strong constraints on the value of the cosmological parameters. Archeops fle...
متن کاملCMB spectral distortions from small-scale isocurvature fluctuations
The damping of primordial perturbations at small scales gives rise to distortions of the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Here, the dependence of the distortion on the different types of cosmological initial conditions is explored, covering adiabatic, baryon/cold dark matter isocurvature, neutrino density/velocity isocurvature modes and some mixtures. The radiation transfer functions for each...
متن کاملSecondary CMB Anisotropies from Cosmological Reionization
We use numerical simulation of cosmological reionization to calculate the secondary CMB anisotropies in a representative flat low density cosmological model. We show that the kinetic Sunyaev-Zel’dovich effect (scattering off of moving electrons in the ionized intergalactic medium) is dominated by the nonlinear hydrodynamic and gravitational evolution of the density and velocity fields, rather t...
